Liquor License Training

In order for your business to staff employees that can sell and serve liquor or any form of alcohol they must first be trained. Each state has a different form of training and requirements so make sure and check with your local authorities to ensure that you are getting to be training possible. The most common form of training is the Licensee Education on Alcohol and Drugs, but again check with you local government to ensure that you are receiving the proper training.

L.E.A.D. Training

Licensee Education on Alcohol and Drugs, or L.E.A.D., is the liquor license training program that you and your employees will need to take in order to sell and serve liquor from your business. The L.E.A.D. Training will help teach you and your employees how to identify various forms of identification, detect and prevent illegal activity, labially laws and much more.

The training classes are typically 3.5 hours long and will feature a quiz on the class before leaving. One the individual has passed the class they will receive a certification card that will allow them to sell and serve liquor at your business.

Training Guidelines

To ensure that you get the best liquor license training for your employees there are some guidelines that need to be followed. These guidelines are there to help ensure that the learning experience is the best that you can get. The guidelines are as follows:

The training cannot be shortened
Children may be in class if they are not disruptive
No drinking of alcoholic beverages in class
No music in class
No sleeping in class
No use of cellular phones in class
Latecomers will not be admitted
Students may not leave class early
Bring your own interpreter if needed

Keep in mind that if your business has three violations within three years for selling alcohol to, or permitting consumption of alcohol by, a minor your license will be revoked. The L.E.A.D. Training can help reduce the risk of license revocation.
